Dr/ Ranad holds a PhD degree in Architectural Studies from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. Her thesis focused on introducing and applying smart biophilic framework to develop existing office building in Egypt, with the aim of creating highly efficient, cost saving, and productive buildings.

Dr/ Ranad got an Interior Design Diploma from the American University in Cairo. Besides, she has several teaching experiences including “Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime transport”, “ Misr University for Science and Technology”, and "Modern Academy for Engineering and Technology. She has over nine years of academic, research, and professional experience in the field of Architecture.

She has publications including being the main author in International journals. Her interests are focused on understanding human needs, behavior, perception, and how building’s design can impact users.
