About English Support Centre (ESC)
Given the global recognition and comprehension of the English language, the English Support Centre (ESC) at MUC was launched in December 2022 to foster the importance of English Language Learning for undergraduate students.
ESC adapts the slogan “Meet the World” and provides MUC students with exquisite opportunities to enhance their English Language skills in a friendly and supportive learning environment outside the classical borders of the traditional classroom. Through the various practical and motivational activities, ESC aims to boost students’ confidence and language learning skills to develop the efficiency of using the English language in everyday conversations and social life communication. In the process, ESC grants students quality time that is prolific, enjoyable, inspiring, and life-changing when it comes to language learning skills.
In addition, ESC endeavours to help students improve their interpersonal skills through a series of workshops entitled “English for Career Development”. In these workshops, students are equipped with the skills highly demanded in the local and international job market. English for Career Development workshops may include topics such as: written & oral communication skills, teamwork skills, self-development & leadership skills, critical reflection, research tools & approaches and community service engagement skills.
