Dr. Matreen holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Architectural Engineering, "Urban Development & Community Design" Department, Faculty of Engineering- Cairo University, and the title of the thesis was “The Programmed System of Standard Specifications for Restoration Projects of Historic Buildings and Heritage Value”. also received a project management diploma from the American University in Cairo

Dr. Matreen had over Four years of experience in Designing Urban Planning in different Egyptian villages. Also, two years of experience in Designing villas, plans & elevations & has good experience in shop Drawing, Participating in Landscape Design for a private villa and Residential compounds projects in new Cairo - Egypt, another Four Years of experience in Designing and planning many projects in The National Organization for Urban Harmony. Dr. Matreen is also a Sole owner who possesses the exclusive and full rights to computer software that she developed for her Ph.D., this software used for (Building Restoration) under the name of: “Decision Making Supporting Program for Historical Buildings Restoration and Those of Heritage Value”.

Dr. Matreen had published 4 scientific and technical papers until now in national and international scientific journals. She had a passion for learning more, and more specifically for history, conservation and restoration. Her professional goal is to always seek a challenge & constantly pursue different professional opportunities as part of a highly reputable (multinational or international) educational organization or institute where she can further develop as well as improve her skills in the field of Architecture & urban conservation.
